Why It’s Always Great to Learn Something New?

Is there something you want to learn or do that you never got around to doing? Perhaps a skill or a business that you wanted to do in your earlier years, but couldn’t. It can also be something you’ve recently got interested in.

You might think that the time has passed for you to try new experiences, but just like how Daniell Brown, the author of Dress Whites, Gold Wings, took up writing after spending his life as a pilot, you can achieve new things as well. Take a step forward and take in these three reasons on how it’s always great to learn something new. After all, in life, you never stop learning.

1. It opens up new opportunities

Think of the activity or skill that you want to learn. In this day and age where the world is connected and almost anything can get you an audience, there’s a high chance that your new skill can be applied to profitable opportunities. Perhaps you can start a business, have a new source of income, or help out others.

2. Another outlet to pass time

When it comes to day-to-day activities, emotions can build up. You can express these things by confiding in others, or through hobbies or certain activities. By learning something new, you can also use it as an outlet to pour your emotions or distract yourself from inconveniences.

3. A chance to develop

Even though you graduate from school, there are always new things to learn every day. Even things that you can’t learn in the confines of a classroom. Every knowledge you learn and master can help develop your mind and your body.

It’s never too late to do what you want to do. As long as you have the passion, the interest, and the resources from doing so, you shouldn’t stop yourself from doing it! That’s why it’s always great to learn something new, because with it comes a mass of positive outcomes. So why not take the chance to start learning it as soon as you can? Enjoy!

Are Relationships in Life Permanent?

A person only gets a hundred years in this world to live, and during those days you will meet countless people. How many of them will you form a connection with, and how many will become another person that just passes by? It makes you wonder if relationships in life are permanent.

In life, you have different chapters, and in each chapter, you meet a new set of people. Some of them might become friends you'll be with for the rest of your life, and others may fade away as you move into a new chapter, which can be seen in the life of Daniell Brown that’s told in the pages of Dress Whites, Gold Wings. As a pilot, Dan moves place to place experiencing countless scenes and different people. Although you may move to a new section in your book of life, the previous chapters will always be there to be remembered.

You need to know that relationships come and they will go. However, is that something to be sad about? No, after all, not only do you change but others as well. The relationships you made in high school may not remain the same as when you become an adult. Though you keep in contact, it might not be with the same closeness. Something would have changed.

You need to remember that these people have made many memories with you, and these are memories to treasure. Relationships might not always be permanent, but the feelings, the experience, and the memories that have come to pass will always be there. The people you meet will shape you for the future and as will you to them.

Human beings are naturally a species that flocks together. We interact with each other to grow and develop. So, are relationships in life permanent? Some, yes, but more often they are not. Despite that, they are still worth treasuring. After all, it’s because of your time with them that you’ve enjoyed the past.

How do You Know they're The One?

Everyone is looking for that significant other that they could spend the rest of their lives with. However, with the number of people you come across in life, how do you know they’re ‘the one? Love can be trial and error, and we may not always get the right one immediately.

In life, the only constant is ‘change’. It’s not all the time the outcome is roses, like Daniell Brown from the book, Dress Whites, Gold Wings who loved three women throughout his life: Ann, Eleanor, and Becky. It took Dan a long time before he found Becky, the person he’d spend the rest of his life with. To make sure you find the right partner who can love you just as much as you love them, let me give you a few key points to look for to ease the hardship.

1. Do they make you feel comfortable?

They must make you feel comfortable. Do you feel safe around them? Do you feel that you can be yourself with no fear? The sense of calm as you stay together in silence, even if you both aren’t doing anything, is important to note.

2. Do they communicate, respect your thoughts and feelings?

Communication is always the key to a stable relationship. Are you able to openly say your innermost thoughts to that person, and are they willing to listen? Are they willing to understand? If respect and communication are established, problems would be easily solved, and the two of you can tackle obstacles together.

3. Are you able to trust them without a doubt?

Is your heart calm regardless of the fact they’re not by your side? If so, this means that they have given you such comfort that they’ve earned your trust. With this, there will be no anxiety or doubts even when you’re not together.

When it comes to how you know they're the one, it’s important to discern whether or not you’ll be safe and comfortable. Trust is important, and this means that you must provide these three points to your partner as well. It doesn’t matter if you two are as different as Yin and Yang, if they can accomplish these points, you might have just found yourself a soulmate.

How Does Death Make Life Meaningful?

What is death, and how does it make life meaningful? Life is temporary, and even today, with the ever-growing technology, no one has yet to gain immortality. Death is one of the permanent things in a living being’s life, but what is death? One would say that death is when life ceases to exist, and others would say that it is the beginning of a new life. In this perspective, death is what makes life meaningful.

How does one perceive death? You never know when death will strike. When will you leave? When is the end? It is all a matter of how you view the question, “Why must we live when in the end we will die?” However, that is the very reason. It’s because we die that we must live.

Take every opportunity to revel in a moment that will one day become a memory. Have you made an impact on the world, no matter how little it was? Were you satisfied with your life? Were you happy? These are questions you must ask yourself as you go through all the years left in your hourglass.

People come and go. You meet people, and someday they will disappear, taken into the arms of death. However, they never truly die as they will continue to live on in your memory. Similar to the anecdote from the book, Dress Whites, Gold Wings. It tells the story of a boy named Jimmy who passed at a young age. Jimmy had a long future ahead of him. However, in the short life he lived, he was part of the lives of many. Just as a caterpillar says goodbye to its final breath, a beautiful butterfly emerges. Death is simply a doorway to a new beginning. We feel as if we lost something part of us, but that is not totally the case.

As much as possible, don't leave any regrets. After all, lying on your deathbed thinking of all things you could have done or shouldn’t have done would be a painful thing. Be brave and be bold. Do what you love and bring love to others, because in this world, we can only live once.
